Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has given an update on the injury to star striker Jamie Vardy.
Rodgers insists that the English striker will be fit to face Manchester United on boxing day after being withdrawn in the club’s last outing against Tottenham with an injury; a game they emerged 2-0 winners with Vardy being involved in the two goals.
According to Rodgers, the player will be fine for the game with his injury being ‘a little soreness in his groin’.
“It’s just a little bit of soreness in that (groin) area, which he’s had a few times, but he’ll be okay,” Rodgers said.
United denied Leicester a chance to make it to the Champions League last season on the last day and the home side will be keen to seek revenge but they as anyone know that it won't be an easy ride against the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side who are on some fine run.
Leicester is currently placed second on the log with 27 points; just a point above third-placed United who has played a game less.
