Jamie Carragher admits he is nervous ahead of Liverpool's huge home tie against league leaders Manchester United this weekend.
United will travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool this Sunday with the clash coming after the Reds' poor run of form. Jurgen Klopp's men have not been at their best in the recent matches as they've failed to win in their last three Premier League matches, settling for two draws and a single loss in the process.
On the other end, Oe Gunnar Solskjaer's men have been in fine form and are unbeaten in the top flight since the start of November and are now three points above the defending champions.
"I think the last few weeks yes [I have been nervous]," he told Sky Sports.
"I think three or four weeks ago Liverpool looked like they were in a position to pull away from the other teams. United at the start of the season were inconsistent, City were the same, and I think that's the frustration at Liverpool.
"It's not just dropping points against big teams, it's games you think you should win. You always look ahead in the fixture list and think we'll probably get nine points from nine, or seven from nine, and Liverpool have only got two points from nine."
The Liverpool legend believes a win for his former club is essential to get back a bit of momentum and dent United's challenge.
