Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has regretted his team’s bluntness in attack, while also feeling Manchester United play too negatively.
Needing a win to overtake Man United at the summit of the table, Liverpool were held to goalless draw at Anfield on Sunday night, a result that helped the Red Devils to a two-point lead at the top.
"We played football, tried to do it, force them back into their own box," Klopp told BBC Sport as quoted by Soccer Laduma.
"The worst thing you can face in the world, in football, is you play against a side with world-class players and they all defend with all they have, deep in the box and only counter-attack.
"It's really difficult – that's the biggest challenge,” concluded the German.
The champions have now dropped to fourth place with three points behind leaders Man United.
