Liverpool have received a timely boost ahead of their weekend clash with Chelsea with news that three of their players who have been out with injuries are set to return for the clash.
Speaking after their win against Sheffield United on Sunday, manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed that the likes of Alisson Becker, Fabinho, and Diogo Jota could play in the Chelsea game.
“Alisson and Fabinho, I'm pretty sure (will be available). With Diogo, he was with us in the hotel, but he got sick overnight and we had to send him home. It depends on how quickly he will recover, obviously.
"He was in the squad and as I said before, he trained with the team and it all looked really good but unfortunately he got sick overnight. I think he will be available, but I don't know," Klopp said.
The Reds are fighting to make it to the top four having fallen down the pecking order since the start of the year where results have not gone their way.
Liverpool are currently placed sixth with 43 points; two points below fourth-placed West Ham United.
