Ezri Konsa has signed a contract extension with Aston Villa that will keep him at the club until 2026.
The 23-year-old has established himself as a key member of a Premier League defense that has kept 14 clean sheets this season.
Since joining Villa from Brentford in 2019, the former England Under-20 World Cup winner has made 58 appearances in all competitions.
How much of a boost is this to Villa?
This is huge news because Konsa has built a strong defensive partnership with Tyrone Mings and has significantly improved his game.
He's also been a lot more valuable after his £11 million move from Brentford in the summer of 2019.
Villa wants to retain their best players and develop a team around them. Konsa is seen as a core member of the team in the future.
