Harry Kane remains a doubt for Tottenham Hotspur's weekend clash against Manchester City says interim boss Ryan Mason.
Kane suffered an ankle injury during Spurs' 2-2 draw against Everton over the weekend and will miss midweek's tie with Southampton. The England international scored both goals before he limped off in the dying minutes of the clash.
Spurs' new interim boss Mason, who was appointed on Tuesday addressed the media ahead of Wednesday's tie and confirmed the striker's availability against Manchester City over the weekend remains up in the air.
"Not sure. Didn’t train today," he told the press following his appointment.
"Taking it day by day. Not sure about the weekend yet," he added.
The north London side confirmed Mason will in charge of the team on an interim basis until the end of the current season following Jose Mourinho's sacking.
Spurs, who are currently seventh on the log with 50 points will play hosts to Southampton tomorrow before facing City in the finals of the EFL Cup over the weekend.
