Liverpool owner John W Henry has apologized to the club’s fans following his move to the European Super League.
The Reds were one of 12 clubs who opted to break away from the Champions League over the weekend a move that had generated a different opinion from the club fans. In a video posted by the club, Henry apologized to the fans, players, and Jürgen Klopp for the “disruption” it caused.
The move comes after a section of the club players and Klopp publicly condemned the move by their boss something that had been supported even by their rival fans.
The club who are fighting for a place in next year's Champions League will now turn their attention to Premier Lague where they have a date with Newcastle United in their next match.
