Manchester United are about to reward defender Luke Shaw with a new bumper deal following his impressive outing this season.
Shaw has been one of the most consistent performers at United and according to Daily Mail, the English left-back will be offered a new five-year deal worth £190,000-a-week.
The player has racked up 40 appearances across all competitions at left-back this season with his constant presence in the team helping United up into second in the Premier League table and in line with their best league finish since 2018.
The 25-year-old is currently on a £150,000 salary per week according to a report from Daily Star and the new deal will see him increase his earning by £40,000; his current contract set to expire in 2023, although United has an option for a further year.
The new deal however is expected to push Alex Teles out of the Old Trafford door with the player yet to cement a place in the team following his summer arrival from FC Porto.
Telles has been reduced to just seven Premier League appearances and is reportedly 'unhappy' with his bit-part role at the club.
Shaw arrived at United from Southampton in 2014 in a £30million deal and would hope that United finish the season with a trophy as they are still in the Europa League where they are one of the favorites; a tie against AS Roma in the semifinals awaits.
