Marcelo Bielsa's side has been linked with a move for the 24-year-old, and it seems they have finally managed to tie a deal.
Firpo has been used sparingly at the Catalan club, partly due to Jordi Alba's brilliance at left-back, playing just 41 times in the last two seasons in all competitions.
He becomes the second player to join the Elland Road side, following the arrival of Jack Harrison, who was signed from Manchester City on a permanent deal.
Leeds spent the better part of last season without a recognized left-back, with Gjanni Alioski, who is primarily a winger used there often.
The North Macedonian's contract with the club ended in June and is yet to sign an extension.
