Ajax have released their new kit for the upcoming 2021/22 season.
The new jersey features the club's Old Logo, in what has been described as a one-off tribute to the fans, who stayed away from the Johan Cruyff Stadium due to covid-related restrictions.
The logo does not contain the championship stars though, but they do show as a neck detail, with a subtle addition of the three Andreas crosses.
Besides the historical logo, for once the color red is also adjusted and the red vertical bar on the shirt will be more narrow, to complete the direct association with the historical Ajax shirts.
Just like some earlier shirts, the Ajax logo is party placed on the red part, and partly on the white of the shirt.
The shirt also has a special gesture from main sponsor Ziggo: they allow for a smaller execution of the Ziggo logo, to make way for the narrower red bar on the shirt.
In the neck of the shirt, on the inside, the current Ajax can be found including the three championship stars.
