AC Milan have announced the signing of Olivier Giroud from Chelsea on a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee.
Giroud underwent a medical on Friday ahead of his move to AC Milan and took it to Twitter to thank Chelsea for the special memories he had during his three-and-a-half-year stay with the Blues.
"AC Milan is delighted to announce the signing of Olivier Jonathan Giroud on a permanent transfer from Chelsea FC. The French striker will be wearing the number 9 jersey," a statement from the club read.
Chelsea also confirmed Giroud's departure via their official website, "Olivier Giroud has today completed a permanent transfer to AC Milan."
The Frenchman signed for Arsenal from Montpellier in the summer of 2012 before moving to Chelsea in January 2018 where he made 119 appearances for the Blues.
He scored 39 goals and won one Champions League, one Europa League, and 1 FA Cup with the Blues.
