After suffering an ankle injury, Manchester United defender Alex Telles could miss the start of the season.
The Brazilian left-back was injured during the club's training camp in Surrey earlier this week and has already returned home, missing Saturday's friendly against QPR.
Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who signed a new contract, said on the club's official website: 'Unfortunately, Alex slipped and he twisted his ankle so he'll be out for a few weeks.
'We're hoping that it's not going to be too bad but he'll be out for a little while.'
Telles is expected to miss Brentford's and Preston's friendlies next week, as well as a warm-up match against Everton on August 7.
It creates an issue for United at left-back, as Luke Shaw has yet to return to training following his heroics with England at Euro 2020.
Shaw and his Manchester United teammates, who were selected for England's squad, are set to resume training in the coming weeks.
The left-back was originally reported to have suffered a rib injury at the Euros and is hoping to be healthy for the start of the Premier League season against Leeds on August 14.
