Manchester City is closing on the signing of Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.
There had been reports last week that Grealish was not considering the move as he wanted assurance about the playing time at the club but as currently reported by The Athletic, a deal between the player and the Pep Guardiola side is close.
Grealish starred for Aston Villa last term before making an impact for England at Euro 2020 with Guardiola wanting the player as he feels he will be a good addition to his midfield who might lose some players this summer.
City is expected to pay a fee in the region of £88m for the player who is set to sign a five-year contract with the Citizens.
Grealish is currently on holiday after helping England to the Euro 2020 final and is expected to return to training next week with Villa before leaving for the Etihad.
