Arsenal will only take Chelsea FC striker Tammy Abraham on a loan deal if they are to sign him this summer.
Abraham is being linked with a move away from Chelsea as he wants more game time and has been linked with a series of clubs in the past weeks one of them being Arsenal who is in the market for a striker.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal wants to take the player initially on loan with a £40million obligation-to-buy clause included should he impress at the Emirates; something that Mikel Arteta is willing to explore.
The problem with the deal comes with Abraham's £80,000-a-week wages with the North London side expected to pay a large chunk of the amount during his loan period.
Apart from Arsenal, the 23-year-old has been linked with a return to Aston Villa but his wages are something that the Dean Smith side isn't willing to offer.
Apart from Abraham, the Gunners are set to sign England defender Ben White from Brighton for £50million and they have also been attempting to sign Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
They have however added Portuguese full-back Nuno Tavares and Belgian midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga to their ranks for £22m.
