Crystal Palace are interested in signing Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson on a season-long loan.
The Sun reports that the Eagles manager Patrick Vierra is a huge admirer of Nelson and wants him at the club with the player keen on a move as he wants more playing time.
Palace are doing away with a chunk of their older players with Garry Cahill the latest to leave the club; Viera said to be in need of more young talents after taking in Marc Guehi, Michael Olise, Joachim Andersen, and Conor Gallagher.
Gallagher arrived on a temporary deal from Chelsea, and Vieira is now looking to fill up the second loan spot with the services of Nelson.
The club has been linked with Ademola Lookman, who spent last season on loan with Fulham but RB Leipzig’s demands are a roadblock. The Bundesliga outfit wants a £3.5 million loan fee and his £50,000-a-week wages to be paid. Nelson has emerged as the viable option.
Guehi, Olise, and Gallagher are 21 and below. Only Gallagher has experienced a full season in the Premier League after his loan stint at West Bromwich Albion.
Nelson who has two years left on his current deal has been in the Gunners’ first-team for a while, but he has been on the fringes with the emergence of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe.
