AC Milan's new striker Olivier Giroud admits it would be nice if Chelsea midfielder Hakim Ziyech joins him at I Rossoneri.
Ziyech completed his move to Chelsea last year for a fee of around £33.3 million but has struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge. According to reports, Chelsea are open to selling the forward with Milan interested in securing his services.
And Giroud, who played alongside Ziyech at Chelsea last season before making the move to Italy this summer, is keen to link back up with his former teammate.
"Ziyech is a great player," he responded when asked about the prospect of Ziyech joining him at Milan.
"We have had a great connection even though we have played few games together. He has a top-left foot, has the experience and he is very good technically. It would be nice to play with him again."
On Milan move
"I have always said that when I was little I had the dream of playing in the Premier League but I think it was time to discover a new culture and a new country," said Giroud.
"Milan was the best option for me and I am grateful to be able to wear the Rossoneri colours. I’m happy to be here."
