AC Milan goalkeeper Alessandro Plizzari is set to be ruled out until at least January 2020 after undergoing surgery.
Plizzari, who was set to be Milan's third-choice keeper picked up a knee injury and now he has undergone surgery keeping him out until next year.
" Plizzari underwent surgery today to deal with bilateral patellar tendonitis. The operation, which was completed by the Club’s consultant orthopaedist Roberto Pozzoni at the Clinica La Madonnina under the supervision of Club doctor Lucio Genesio, was a complete success. His recovery time is estimated to be three months," a statement from the club read.
The 21-year-old is the third choice at Milan behind Mike Maignan and Ciprian Tatarusanu.
