Xavi hints at interest in Barcelona job

Xavi, a former Barcelona player, says he is ready to manage "any team in the world" amid reports of a return to the Nou Camp.

The former world champion is rumored to be one of the possibilities to succeed Ronald Koeman, who is under criticism and unlikely to stay in command of Barcelona in the long run.

Xavi is now having a fantastic spell at Al-Sadd in Qatar, but he has refused to rule out a return to La Blaugrana after originally rejecting an overture from his previous club.

Speaking to reporters, Xavi said: "Yes, I feel ready to coach any team in the world. When they offered me it, I'd only been a coach for three months, but now it's different.

"I have more experience and I'm learning a lot here. I want to tell everyone that I'm very happy in Qatar and my idea is to keep achieving success with this team."

On Friday, Xavi watched Al-Qatari Sadd's Cup triumph over Al Rayyan, and the 41-year-old has 85 goals and 185 assists in 767 games with Barcelona.
