El Clasico: Boost for Real Madrid ahead of Barcelona tie

Real Madrid have received a timely boost ahead of their Sunday El Clasico tie with arch-rivals Barcelona.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti in his press briefing on Saturday confirmed that the duo of Eden Hazard and Toni Kroos, who have missed the club's recent games due to injuries, are available for selection in the tie

Apart from the duo, defender Dani Carvajal is also available for Madrid having missed a chunk of games this season but Ancelotti was coy whether he will throw the players straight to his starting team.

“Hazard is fine. He has trained with the team, everything's okay, just like Carvajal. Then, we know it's difficult to throw a player coming back from injury straight into the action. The key thing is to have him available and he could be useful at any point".

“The physical side of things is on the up because we've got important players back in Kroos, Marcelo and Mendy, who have been out for a long time. Something we need to improve on is that I'd like to pressure higher up and we have to work on that.

"I like what I'm seeing in an attacking sense, there's creativity from the players. The coach has less to with that really, it's more about the quality of the players," Ancelotti said.

Madrid who will go top with a win over Barcelona are currently placed third on 17 points in the Laliga table; two ahead of Barcelona who are eighth.
