Pep Guardiola opens up on Raheem Sterling links to Barcelona

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has talked about rumours linking Raheem SSterling with a move to Barcelona.

Sterling has had a frost relationship with Guardiola after claiming that he wasn't being given enough game time at City with the player getting linked with clubs outside England with Barcelona being one of them.

Guardiola has been coy on the rumours and when asked about them at a charity golf event on Tuesday as revealed by MEN, the Spaniard said: “Honestly I have no idea. I don’t know anything. Not that I would tell you anyway.

“If Barcelona are interested in any of our players, I am convinced that they can get them. Barca continues to be an attractive club, more than attractive. The city, the club, the history and this for the trainers, for the players always seduces a lot.

“If Barcelona interests one of our players, they will set up the machinery into operation, it is a liner. Barca can use their media to influence signings. That’s the thing about Barcelona; they can do what they want, good or bad.”

Sterling has been linked with Barcelona in recent days, potentially in a player-plus-cash deal with Frenkie De Jong, and a number of Blues players have been reported to be of interest to Barca this year.

Both sides did trade in the summer with the duo of ric Garcia and Sergio Aguero leaving the Etihad for Barca.
