πŸ‡°πŸ‡ͺ Kenya 2-1 πŸ‡·πŸ‡Ό Rwanda: Firat ends Stars reign with a win

Engin Firat has ended his Harambee Stars reign with a win after leading Kenya to a 2-1 win over Rwanda in a 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifier staged at Nyayo Stadium on Monday 15, November 2021.

With nothing to play for but pride, Stars took the initiative of impressing their handful of fans who had turned into the ground by opening the goal-scoring proceedings through captain Michael Olunga.

Even before the Rwandese could settle, Richard Odad added a second from the penalty spot on the quarter-hour mark after the returning Eric Ouma had been brought down in the opposition box; the home side racing to a 2-0 lead at the halftime break in what looked like a one-sided affair.

The Rwandese however had other ideas and came in the second half a different team. After some substitutions from the Vincent Mashami charges, they were to reduce the arrears in the 66th minute through Olivier Niyonzima. Ernest Sugira was then presented with a chance to restore parity for the Rwandese but he blazed his effort wide much to the amazement of his teammates.
