Newcastle United have signed New Zealand international striker Chris Wood from English Premier League rivals Burnley!
The Magpies announced the deal via social media on Thursday. The 30-year-old Wood has secured a two-and-a-half-year deal, with the fee undisclosed.
"Newcastle United are delighted to confirm the signing of New Zealand striker Chris Wood from Burnley for an undisclosed fee," Newcastle said.
"Wood has signed a two-and-a-half year contract and arrives in time to feature in Saturday's Premier League clash with Watford at St. James' Park."
Wood now becomes Eddie Howe's second signing of the window after Kieran Trippier moved to St James' Park this month.
Meanwhile, the duo could feature this weekend at home against Watford.
