This sounds like a proper disaster for Mikel Arteta's Arsenal. The Gunners are set to miss Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith-Rowe against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-final on Thursday night.
According to an exclusive report by Goal's Charles Watts, the Smith-Rowe is troubled by a groin injury, while Odegaard simply 'could not report' for training.
"Arsenal look set to be without both Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith Rowe for their Carabao Cup semi-final first leg at Liverpool," the report said.
The Gunners will also be without their Japanese full-back Takehiro Tomiyasu who is suffering from a calf injury. On a positive note, Granit Xhaka is back available after COVID-19 quarantine.
The first leg of Thursday's semi-final will be at Anfield.
