🧠 Recommended bets:

  • Under 1.5 goals in Senegal vs Cape Verde
  • Morocco win to nil
  • Notts Forest win & BTTS

Senegal vs Cape Verde

Senegal was one of the pre-tournament favourites and they'll fancy their chances of making the AFCON 2021 quarterfinals at Cape Verde's expense. Only half of the matches at this year's tournament to date have produced over 2.5 goals, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see Cape Verde to adopt a defensive approach. That being said, the Lions of Teranga are yet to concede a single goal at the tournament. Take note, each of Senegal's last five knockout games at AFCON tournaments has produced under 1.5 goals inside 90 minutes.

Morocco vs Malawi

Morocco is 101 places above Malawi in FIFA's rankings and that should be evident. The North African giants scored in all of their group games and have the star quality at their disposal to advance comfortably against a Malawi outfit that lost to Guinea and registered a 0-0 draw with Senegal in the groups. Six of Morocco's last eight wins at AFCON tournaments have ended 1-0, so they'll be looking to keep it tight again.

Nottingham Forest vs Barnsley

Notts Forest’s derby-day win over Derby at the weekend kept them in the promotion picture and In keeping with Forest’s season, the reverse fixture against Barnsley this season saw three second-half goals secure victory for them. 74% of Forest's Championship goals this season have arrived after the break, a trend that we'll be watching with interest here. Forest has failed to score during the first half in 11 of their 14 Championship home games this season so we're expecting action after the break, and they should have enough quality to get the better of Barnsley. Both sides have scored in five of Barnsley's six and in each of their last three, so that's a good route to potential profit.
