🔵 Everton avoid relegation after dramatic comeback win over Crystal Palace

Everton confirmed their Premier League status for the 2022/23 season following a dramatic 3-2 comeback win over Crystal Palace on Thursday night.

The Toffees showed immense fight to come from two goals down to beat the Eagles, sparking joyous celebrations after the final whistle at a packed Goodison Park.

The result sees them four points ahead of 18th-placed Leeds United with one match remaining.

In a game of two halves, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Jordan Ayew gave Palace a 2-0 lead going into half-time, but Frank Lampard's outfit turned the match on its head in the second period.

First, Michael Keane gave the hosts a route back into the match with a well-taken strike in the 54th minute, before Richarlison leveled with 15 minutes to go.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin then scored the winner five minutes from time, which saw the game momentarily paused after fans stormed the pitch.

Up next for Everton is a clash away at Arsenal, a match the Gunners must win to have any realistic chance of playing Champions League football next season.

As it stands, the battle for survival is now between Burnely, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Aston Villa, and Leeds United.

The Clarets have a superior goal difference compared to the West Yorkshire side ahead of the season finale.

Leeds travel to Brentford for their final game, while Burnley host Newcastle United.
