KCCA lost 1-0 to Township Rollers as they dropped to the bottom of the CAF Champions League group A after match day one but their silky left-footed midfielder Allan Okello feels they didn’t deserve to lose.

In his view, Okello believes that they played well and created more chances than their hosts but were just not lucky to put the ball into the net.

“It was just hard luck,” he said in his post-match reactions. “We got more chances than them but we did not use them. That is what we have to focus on - correcting the mistakes.”

The midfielder says they are under some pressure to manage both the local league and cup races and the continental assignments though he is confident the team can handle.

There is some little pressure because we have to balance both [domestically and on the continent]. They’re both tough games but we need to concentrate and work hard. We really need to get the results home and away so that we qualify for the quarterfinals.”

KCCA’s next game is against Al Ahly on Tuesday 15th May at the Mandela National stadium in Kampala.
