Tottenham’s new 62,602-seater stadium will be opened on April 3 with an opening ceremony ahead of their clash against Crystal Palace, it has been confirmed.

In a statement, the Premier League club said: "We can now confirm that the kick-off time for the opening Premier League fixture at our new stadium against Crystal Palace on Wednesday 3 April will be 7.45pm.

"Prior to our first match at our new home we shall hold the Opening Ceremony.

"We would ask supporters to please, therefore, make arrangements to arrive as early as possible. There will be much to see and enjoy throughout the new stadium and the Opening Ceremony will commence approximately 20-30 minutes ahead of kick-off. Further details on this will follow in due course."

Ahead of the official opening, the club will hold its first ever test event at the new stadium when its U18 squad welcome Southampton in front of 30,000 fans.

Another match will be held at the stadium on March 30, when Spurs legends take on their Inter Milan counterparts in front of around 45,000 spectators.
