Match preview 🗣
Facing Sweden in a major tournament qualifier for the first time since 1977, Norway lost 2-1 away to Spain on Euro 2020 qualification matchday one. It was only their second defeat in their last 11 matches (W8, D1, L2) though, so there is still optimism ahead of this one. There's nothing to separate these geographical rivals in the last seven head to heads, with two wins apiece and three draws. Norway striker Josh King has seven goals in his last ten appearances for club and country, so he will be one to watch.
With Norway boasting a record of zero losses in their last ten home matches and seven successive wins, Sweden will have to be at their very best to get a good result here. That being said, the Swedes have only tasted defeat once in their last five clashes with rivals Norway. Something has to give here.
Team news 🇳🇴 🇸🇪 📰
Rosenberg defender Birger Meling is out for the hosts but otherwise, they have a fully-fit squad. Sweden will have to do without Manchester United defender Viktor Lindelof, Mikael Lustig & Pontus Jansson. The Swedes will also be minus key creative midfielder Emil Forsberg who has withdrawn from the squad and returned to RB Leipzig and that will be a huge blow.
