Guardiola: I'm so proud of my players

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says he is proud of his players despite elimination from Champions League in the hands of Tottenham.

City's dreams of winning a quadruple came to an end on Wednesday night after being knocked out by Spurs on away goal rule. Guardiola says he accepted the results and now is focusing on the upcoming matches and not the past.

"It’s just life, it’s football. Important is how you behave, football, life isn’t easy you have to fight and compete it’s how we react. We have to accept these sort of situations, but looking behind won’t help us move forward," said Guardiola.

"These kinds of players have an opportunity to show they can do that. They will get back what they deserve. One day maybe we will be in the same position and maybe we will be more fortunate or precise or whatever to go through.

"We did everything in both games. I’m so proud of the players."

City will turn their attention to Premier League as they talk on Spurs on Saturday in an early kick-off match.
