Super Eagles striker Simeon Nwankwo has expressed his delight after signing a new three-year contract with Serie B club Crotone.

Simeon Nwankwo racalled his gains at the club, saying he has grown as a man and a professional footballer.

"I am very happy to be able to continue my story with this shirt,” the lanky striker told his club’s official website.

“In Crotone I grew up both as a man and as a footballer and I also became a dad. I thank the club for the trust it has always placed in me.”

Crotone President Gianni Vrenna said Simy is an exemplary professional both on and off the pitch.

“An excellent guy both on and off the field. He joined the Rossoblu family three years ago and won everyone with his generosity and his goals. We are very satisfied with the agreement reached ".

Simy joined the Italian club in 2016.

This past season, he scored 14 goals to ensure the club stay up in the second-tier league.
