English Premier League side Arsenal has confirmed the departure of seven players ahead of the new 2019/20 season.
In a statement on the club’s official website, the club confirmed that Cohen Bramall, goalkeeper Petr Cech, Charlie Gilmour, defender Stephan Lichtsteiner, Julio Pleguezuelo, Aaron Ramsey and Danny Welbeck will depart the club.
In the statement, the club thanked the players for their contributions to the club and wished them every future success.
The statement noted: “Our thanks and best wishes go to the following players whose contracts end with us on June 30:
“Cohen Bramall, Petr Cech, Charlie Gilmour, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Julio Pleguezuelo, Aaron Ramsey and Danny Welbeck.
“We thank them all for their contributions to the club and we wish them every future success.”
Of the players, midfielder Ramsey is the only person whose future has been sorted with the Wales players already roped by Serie A giants Juventus.
Goalkeeper Petr Cech is said to be headed back to Chelsea for a different role in management with striker Welbeck having been linked with a move to Newcastle and West Ham United.
