Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino believes that Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi would be the ideal signing for Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
However, according to Cascarino in an interview with talkSPORT suggested that Ndidi could be too expensive for Arsenal if they were to consider getting him on their books.
“I think Arsenal could do with Ndidi of Leicester. Probably too expensive. Probably wouldn’t be able to go there.”
Ndidi has improved in his game and has seen himself becoming one of the best young midfielders in the Premier League, and the 22-year-old player could be the change for Arsenal.
The Gunners need to bolster their midfield, and the Nigeria international would add to the bite that they need in that department.
However, with Arsenal not in the Champions League next season, it is going to be hard for the North London outfit to convince the midfielder to move to the Emirates Stadium, especially with Leicester set to become a force under manager Brendan Rodgers.
Ndidi has been on the books of Leicester since January 2017 when he joined from Genk for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £15 million.
