Super Eagles winger Samuel Kalu has reportedly suffered a heart attack on Friday during Nigeria's final training before their opener against Burundi.
The Super Eagles player collapsed on the training pitch, with some report suggesting dehydration due to the weather condition in Alexandria.
Samuel Kalu's state of health at the moment is not known but he is receiving treatment at a nearby hospital.
AFCON local medical committee confirmed that the player’s situation now is stable after a cardiac catheterization operation
NFF media officer, Demola Olajire was quoted as saying - "I have been told Samuel Kalu has been stabilised. He was taken to hospital for tests and he is certified okay. He was dehydrated, they said. Told him he needs to be taking enough fluids."
