Musakanya headlines 25-man Chipolopolo squad for CHAN preps

Red Arrows captain Bruce Musakanya has been called for national duty and headlines the 25-man Chipolopolo squad summoned by Stand in coach Aggrey Chiyangi for a local camp.

Musakanya, Austin Muwowo, Chitiya Mususu and Emmanuel Chabula are among the top Zambian Superleague players summoned.

The camp has been set up to begin preparations for the second round, first leg African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier against Botswana slated for 27th July in Francistown.

Chipolopolo Team Manager Desmond M’ngawa told FAZ Media that the team will be in camp from Sunday to Wednesday. Assistant coach Numba Mumamba will drill the team as Chiyangi is in Rwanda with Green Eagles who are taking part in the CECAFA Kagame Cup.

Zambia will be away to Botswana at the Francistown Sports Complex on July 27 and host the Zebras on the weekend of August 2-4. Winner over two legs will play either Eswatini or Angola in the final qualifying round for the Cameroon 2020 CHAN.
