Algeria booked a place in the quarterfinals of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations, after beating Guinea 3-0 on Sunday night in Cairo, Egypt.
The North Africans were at their damaging best and took the lead through Youcef Belaili on the 20th minute before Riyad Mahrez added a second on 57 minutes.
Adam Ounas then grabbed the third on the 83rd minute, as the Desert Foxes wrapped victory in style.
Algeria thought they had taken the lead in the 14th minute when Bounedjah found the net, but the linesman debatably raised his flag for offside.
Bounedjah then missed a sitter on the 20th minute, after beautifully chesting down a cross from the corner flag area but his ball from seven yards with only the keeper to beat flew past the crossbar.
The North Africans meant business, and they pinned Guinea into their half and created chances at will.
Algeria takes the lead
They eventually broke the deadlock on the 22nd minute as Youcef Belaili squeezed the ball in from a tight angle after Bounedjah's perfect lay.
The Foxes ran rings around the Guinean team through the entire first half, with Naby Keita's absence in the middle of the park seriously felt.
Riyad Mahrez, Belaili and Bounedjah all came close to extending Algeria's lead, but their efforts could not find the back of the net as the two sides went into the break with Belaili's goal the difference.
Algeria add two more
The Algerians came back for the second half with the same momentum they ended the first, but its Guinea who almost grabbed an equaliser on the 55th minute as Mady's long-range effort called Rais Mbolhi into a sharp, two-handed save above his head, before rolling his shot wide after.
Two minutes later, however, Riyad Mahrez doubled the Foxes' lead, after an impeccable first touch allowed him to curly it in near the left post for a 2-0 lead.
With the quarterfinal ticket seemingly in the bag, Algeria resorted to running rings around the Guinean midfield and were happy to keep hold of the ball while creating few chances.
Guinea became desperate of finding a goal and this led to many more mistakes and were finally put to the sword once more on the 83rd minute as Adam Ounas grabbed his second of the tournament and Algeria's third of the night.
Guinea had a chance in the dying minutes of the match from a free kick, Mady delivering a beautiful ball in but Bangoura could only power his header over.
The match ended with the Desert Foxes qualifying and represent North Africa after Egypt and Morocco were eliminated from the tourney.
