English Premier Leagues side West Ham United have confirmed that Mexican striker Javier Hernández will wear the number nine shirt in the 2019/20 season.
Chicharito scored just eight times in all competitions last season and has been linked with a move away from the Hammers this summer, with rumours of a switch to Fiorentina circulating earlier this week.
However, the Mexican’s new shirt number suggests he does have a future at the London Stadium after all.
Apart from Hernandez, the London based club also confirmed that Ukrainian winger Andriy Yarmolenko will switch to the number seven shirt having previously worn 20.
