Mosimane confirms how SuperSport refused to sell Modiba

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has revealed how SuperSport United rejected a bid for Aubrey Modiba.

As reported in local media, Sundowns had interest in signing the former Mpumalanga Black Aces left-back. Mosimane has now come out to confirm all is true and an offer was actually forwarded to Matsatsantsa a Pitori.

"There was communication between club to club and we were told he is not available" said Mosimane told Kick Off.

"He has a contract [with SuperSport United]. We did it the right way, we didn't go behind the back. The challenge is that SuperSport United said it is not selling."

The former Bafana Bafana coach also took the moment to explain why Sundowns wanted the Limpopo-born player - citing his left-footedness and career stage.

"We would love to have him. He is a player we wanted. He is young, left-footed. We can't do much. We can only enquire. So it's up to SuperSport United if there is a possibility again,” concluded Mosimane.
