The Kenya Women National team, Harambee Starlets, checked into camp on Sunday 14 July as the team began their preparations ahead of their upcoming Olympics Qualifier against Malawi.
According to information provided by the Football Kenya Federation on their website, 31 out of 39 players initially called up took part in the team’s first training session on Monday afternoon at the Nairobi’s Camp Toyoyo.
Other players including Winnie Kanyotu, Elizabeth Wambui, and Wincate Kaari, having been ruled out of this week’s camp, following injuries they picked up during the weekends Women Premier League matches.
The team will be allowed to break over the weekend to honor their league games and is expected to convene next week
The aggregate winner of the tie will be up against either of Gabon or Ghana in the third round should they pass the Malawi test.
