Matsatsantsa coach Kaitano Tembo has given insight on watching Ashanti Gold trialist Shafiu Mumuni.
As reported on Futaa this week, Mumuni touched down in South Africa with the hope of securing a deal to join SuperSport United.
The club’s coach Tembo has been rather open about the player’s time in Pretoria. "I have watched him play, he joined us a few days ago," Tembo told Kick Off.
Tembo confirmed that he knows the player’s ability but what is most important right now is how the Ghanaian takes to the club’s methods.
"I know what he is capable of but the most important thing is to adapt to the way we are doing things and that's why we invite players on trial, to see if they can adapt in our environment,” said the Zimbabwean coach.
"He scored goals for his team. He is a top striker at Ashanti Gold. We still have about two weeks [to look at him] and we will take it from there."
SuperSport will start the new season against defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday 3 August 2019.
