Algeria had to wait 29 years to clinch their second African Cup of Nations after Baghdad Bounedjah's strike in the second minute handed them the 1-0 win over Senegal.
Senegal had a nightmare start to the game as Bounedjah picked up the ball and drove through to fire in a shot that took a wicked deflection against Salif Sane to drop into the goal. The Lions of Teranga huffed and puffed in the entire game but Algeria's defense stood strong to keep a clean sheet.
An early deflected g⚽️al decided the #TotalAFCON2019 champions for tonight and it was non other than #LesFennecs !🎉🏆
