REPORTS: KPL side appoints Shikanda as new head coach

Kenyan Premier League side Nzoia Sugar FC has appointed Ibrahim 'Bura' Shikanda as their new head coach for an undisclosed period according to reports.

Shikanda joins from Bungoma AllStars and will hope to help Nzoia better their last season’s performance where they finished twelfth in the league.

He comes in to replace will Godfrey 'Solo' Oduor who left the Millers for KCB FC where he will be acting as an assistant coach to Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno.


Apart from Bungoma All Stars, Shikanda has previously been in charge of Nairobi Stima and had a stint with Tanzania side Azam FC too as an assistant coach between 2008 to 2013.

A household name in the Kenyan soccer scene, Shikanda began his career in the youth side for Tusker FC and was promoted to the senior side in 2003. After two years at Tusker in the Kenyan Premier League, he joined to league rival Mumias Sugar.

He left than Mumias in summer 2007 to sign for Uganda's Rock Star before signing for Azam FC at the beginning of 2008.
