Harambee Stars head coach Sebastien Migne has called Bandari FC shot-stopper Michael Wanyika to his squad that is currently preparing for their clash against Tanzania in the CHAN Qualifiers.
With Shikhalo having joined Tanzania giants Yanga SC, Migne had included Ulinzi Stars goalkeeper James Saruni to join John Oyemba who was part of the Stars African Cup of Nations team and Wanyika will arrive to offer competition for the duo.
The team is in its third day of camp ahead of their departure to Tanzania on Saturday 27 July for the first leg match set to be played on Sunday, in Dar es Salaam. The return match will be played a week later, on August 4, at the MISC Kasarani.
After losing the hosting rights of the competition in the last edition, Kenya will be hoping to make their maiden appearance in a competition exclusively reserved for players actively featuring in their respective domestic leagues.
Should Harambee Stars go past Tanzania in the first round, they will come up against Sudan in the second and final qualifying round.
