With rumors rife of Harun Shakava leaving the club, Gor Mahia have moved to bolster their defense with the signing of Maurice Ojwang’ from Western Stima in a three-year deal.
Ojwang' ends his four-year stint with The Powermen, after joining the Kenyan Premier League reigning champions. The defender joins the long list of Stima players who have made the switch to K'Ogalo and will team up with his former teammates in the name of Geoffrey Ochieng, Kenneth Muguna, Bernard Ondiek, and Joash Onyango.
Ojwang' will be a direct replacement for Pascal Ogweno who reunited with former Gor Mahia assistant coach, Zedekiah Otieno at KCB. Club captain Shakava has also been linked with an exit from K'Ogalo and might also be replaced by Ojwang'.
Gor Mahia have already signed a center back in this transfer window after roping in Elvis Ronack from Nzoia Sugar.
