Bandari head coach Bernard Mwalala has revealed new signing Danson Chetambe is in contention to start against Sudan side Al Ahli in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary tie on Saturday 10th.
The Mombasa based side is set to host Al Ahli at the MISC Kasarani in the first leg and Mwalala says his side is ready for the encounter. Having acquired services of three players during the current transfer market, Mwalala has hinted that only Chetambe is ready to start. The Dockers signed Cliff Kasuti from Sofapaka, Alex Luganji from Nairobi Stima and Chetambe, who joined from Zoo FC.
“They are all very good players and have gelled well with the rest of the team. We were lucky to have Chetambe with us in Rwanda for Kagame Cup, he is totally fit and in tandem with the rest. In fact, he is in contention to start on Saturday," he said.
"Luganji and Kasuti have been doing well in training but I will need to gauge them in one or two competitive matches," he added.
The match will kick off at 3:00 PM EAT.
