Romelu Lukaku has £74m move to Inter from Manchester United on Thursday with a few hours remaining before the transfer window lights went off.
The Serie A club has been chasing the Belgian's signature for the better part of the summer transfer window, and eventually landed their man in a club-record deal.
The deal brought to an end the 26-year-old's association with the Manchester club, having joined in the summer of 2017 from Everton.
United fell slightly short of recouping the whole £75m they paid for the former Chelsea man, and could not get their £80m earlier valuation.
Lukaku's sale is among United's most expensive deals, coming second behind Cristiano Ronaldo.
1. Cristiano Ronaldo - (£80m)
The Portuguese is United's most expensive sale, having commanded a fee in the region of £80m when he left Manchester to join Real Madrid in July 2009.
2. Romelu Lukaku - £74m
The Belgian has left Old Trafford after learning that he will not be Ole Gunnar's first-choice striker
3. Angel Di Maria - (£44.3m)
Angel Di Maria completed his move from Manchester United to Paris Saint-Germain on a four-year contract in 2015, after failing to settle at the club.
4. David Beckham - (£25m)
Beckham joined Real Madrid CF from Manchester United FC in 2003 on a four-year contract for a fee of £25m.
5. Morgan Schneiderlin - (£24m)
Everton signed Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin for a fee rising to £24m in 2017, after his move from Southampton.
