SuperSport United coach Kaitano Tembo has revealed how he set up his team to give Orlando Pirates a hammering.
The Zimbabwean coach was all fists-in-the-air as the referee blew the final whistle last night to conclude a 3-0 win over Pirates - thanks to a brace from striker Bradley Grobler and a final nail in the coffin strike from Ghampani Lungu.
“Tactically we were brilliant today. We planned very well in terms of our pressing,” Tembo began to Soccer Laduma.
“We knew that if we press well, they risk the ball, they want to build from the back,” added the 49-year-old coach.
Tembo concluded by adding that his side did much to press Pirates from feeding their dangerous forwards. “We wanted to disrupt them and make sure they don’t get to the front players easily. "
"We managed to do that. The whole team deserves a pat on the back because we worked hard throughout the 90 minutes, we never stopped working hard,” concluded Tembo.
