Kenyan Premier League Most Valuable Player (MVP), Joash Onyango has assured Gor Mahia fans that the team is angling for a win when they take on Burundian outfit Aigle Noir in the Preliminary Round of the CAF Champions League.
K'Ogalo settled for a barren draw in the first leg in Burundi and will have to win the game in order to proceed to the First Round. Steven Polack's side have a good record at home in the Champions League with their last loss coming back in 2016 against Madagascan side CNaPS Sport.
Fresh from winning the Super Cup, Joash revealed that the side will strive to win the game against Aigle Noir, "For now we are having intense preparations and we all expect a win come Sunday and I promise the fans that they should expect a win.
Having never proceeded to the group stages of the Champions League, Joash noted that they are looking to rewrite history, "I can not promise about the future but we will ensure that we do our best to make history for the club."
The game is slated for a 4 PM kick-off on Sunday 25th August at the MISC Kasarani.
