Manchester United have been dealt with an injury blow after Aaron Wan-Bissaka withdrew from the England squad with a "back issue".
The former Crystal Palace defender was called up to his first Three Lions squad last week and was in line to make his international debut against Bulgaria on Saturday or Kosovo on Tuesday. Following his move to Manchester United, Wan-Bissaka has impressed and is the player with the most tackles so far this season.
The English FA released a statement on his injury, "Aaron Wan-Bissaka has withdrawn from the England squad. The Manchester United right-back has returned to his club due to a back issue. With Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kieran Trippier already included in Gareth Southgate’s now 24-man squad, no replacements are planned."
The right-back position has had many contenders in the England squad of late with Kyle Walker absent from the latest side despite being considered the incumbent of that position in the most recent internationals.
