Former Ghana international Kevin Prince Boateng has officially been selected by Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Montella as the club's penalty taker.
Montella chose Boateng alongside Erick Pulgar -the latter has scored twice from the spot on two occasions according to Ghanasoccernet.
"I can tell you that in Fiorentina, Montella chose me, along with Boateng, as a rigorist. It will work like this, we will both go to the spot and decide. Nice, we'll be two," Pulgar told La Nazione.
Boateng has reportedly kickstarted the 2019/20 season well and has already scored a goal in two season-openers.
The 32-year-old signed a two-year deal with Fiorentina from Sassuolo.
