Arsenal threw away a 2-0 lead over the weekend as Watford came from behind to rescue a point at Vicarage Road.
Since last season, Arsenal’s weakest point has been their backline and now according to stats, Unai Emery’s men have made a combined 14 errors leading to an opposition goal in the Premier League, at least two more than any other club. The Gunners have only kept one clean sheet this season following a 1-0 win over Newcastle in the league opener. More worrying stat emerged over the weekend following the club’s disappointing draw against Watford.
Shockingly, the club faced 31 shots as they drew 2-2 against the Hornets, the most they have ever faced in a Premier League. And across Europe, the Gunners have faced 96 shots this season, more than any other side in Premier League, Serie A La Liga, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga.
Arsenal conceded five penalties last season and now have conceded three in five games already with Sokratis and summer signing David Luiz being at the heart of the defence.
